Durant Junior Varsity takes another cougar win against Strawberry Crest. Durant Varsity fought hard and just barely came short. It was a fun game and both teams fought until the end.

On Sept. 15, Durant’s Volleyball teams played Strawberry Crest High School. JV won 2-1 sets. They lost the first set and came back to win the last two sets. JV Setter Emily Lovering said, “We realized we started to play at their level so we brought up our energy and played our game.” Even after they lost the first set, the lady cougars still worked hard and pulled out the win.

Although Varsity lost all three sets, they tried their best and had some fun blocks, kills and rallies. Varsity Captain Ella Porter said, “The characteristic that makes me most proud, as a captain, is our fighting spirit. Regardless of the score, we encourage each other to stay focused and compete for every point.”

Durant lady cougars proudly show that they are fighting hard in every game for a very bright future. Follow @durantcougarsvolleyball for more info on other games.
