Durant Lady’s Soccer has had an incredible season with a record of 15-5 which was extremely difficult to accomplish. Last year they ended their season with a record of 14-4-2. Their season last year was good, but this year, they went to the state championship and only lost by one goal.

Senior Elyse Maramara said, “Although I have been injured most my senior season, being a part of this team has meant everything to me. We have worked so hard to get where we are and it’s bittersweet to be a part of. Being on a winning team means that much more when I’m surrounded by all of my best friends.”

“It feels pretty special to be a part of a team that connects so well. There’s a lot of talent on this team and I enjoy playing with these girls,” said freshman Addison Kapustiak. “They have been welcoming and supportive from the beginning and I am glad we have had a great season so far.”

One key to their success appears to be their compatibility with each other. It doesn’t matter if it’s a freshman or senior, they are all united and kicking butt. They had a great team and went far in the postseason. Although they didn’t finish with the win, they had an incredible season and should be proud. The underclassmen will miss their seniors but have a bright future for next year.
