Taylor Swift Feuds with Big Machine Label Group

Swift's struggle with Big Machine continues amidst the pandemic.

Swift’s struggle with Big Machine continues amidst the pandemic.

Ten months after a very public social media feud, Taylor Swift is begging fans not to buy her new album- Live From Clear Channel Stripped 2008-a recording of her 2008 live radio performance.  Swift claims the album is being released by Big Machine Label Group without her consent and is “just another case of shameless greed in the time of Coronavirus.”

In the Instagram story, Swift claims entertainment executive Scott “Scooter” Braun is broke after buying Big Machine Records which gave him control of her previous masters- a collection of over 90 of her hits.

“It looks to me like Scooter Braun and his financial backers, 23 Capital, Alex Soros and the Soros family, and the Carlyle Group have seen the latest balance sheets and realized that paying $300 million for my music wasn’t exactly a wise choice and they need money,” she said in the post.

The music mayhem began in June of 2019 when Braun and his group bought Big Machine Label Group from Scott Borchetta, who signed Swift at the start of her career when she was 15.  Braun already owned the music from Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Kanye West (West and Tay-Tay have had an equally public singer’s spat for the last 11 years).  She has accused Braun of backing her social media “bullies,” such as Bieber and West, causing her hostility towards the sale.

The record deal row continued into the winter when Swift was nominated for Artist of the Decade by the American Music Academy.  Her performance on the nationally televised awards program was set to include the songs she had written over the last ten years, such as Shake It Off and Love Story.  Braun, however, argued she could not do so, at least, not without permission from the Big Machine Label Group.

After Swift used her fan base, dubbed “Swifties,” to beg Braun to let her perform her own music, Braun gave into the demands of the social media protest and allowed Swift to perform her hits at the awards show.

Braun said, after the concession, that he would not participate in the social media drama but posted his response on Instagram later that day.  In the lengthy Instagram post, Braun urged Swift to meet with him so he could talk to her personally.  He referenced death threats he and his family have received since their spat made headlines and said he never intended to make her feel “cornered or bullied.”

Swift seemed to address the spat with Braun when she opened with her new single “The Man,” wearing a t-shirt with the titles of her albums now owned by Braun.  While she did not directly mention Braun, like Taylor’s refrains, the message was loud and clear- she and Braun were never ever getting back together.

The singers’ squabble prompted other celebrities to take sides, but the alliances were predictable.  Swift’s best friend Selena Gomez and other supporters, such as Halsey, publicly declared their allegiance to Miss Americana, while Braun’s clients, such as Kanye West, sided with the entertainment executive.

Since the sale to Braun, Swift, whose deal with Big Machine expired, has signed with Universal Music Group/Republic, who says she will own the rights to all her future masters recorded with them.  However, the April 2020 release of the radio performance proves the pop singer has no control over her original masters and will be forced to fight with Braun if she hopes to ever control them again.

Beloved country singer Kenny Rogers sadly passed away of natural causes at 81 years old.

COUNTRY MUSIC LOSES ONE OF ITS FINEST

Country Music star Kenny Rogers died on March 20th in his home in Sandy Springs, Georgia.  Known for blurring the line between country and pop music, Rogers’ music career lasted 60 years beginning with his 1957 single “That Crazy Feeling.”  Rogers spent the early years of his career in a jazz band and later a folk music band, but his solo career took off in 1978 with “Lucille,” winning him the first of four Grammy Awards.  Rogers released his last song, “Once Again Its Christmas,” in 2015 and went on his final tour in three days later, visiting only five cities.

Rogers was briefly hospitalized in May of 2019 for dehydration, but afterwards said he planned on “sticking around through the years to come.”  However, Rogers passed under the care of hospice from natural causes according to a family spokesman.

Celebrities took to the internet mourning the death of the county legend, including Dolly Parton, who sang the hit duet “Islands in the Stream” with Rogers. “I love Kenny with all my heart.  My heart is broken,” she said.

Sarah Trahern, chief executive officer of the Country Music Association, spoke of his fame, saying, “He was a global superstar who helped introduce country music to audiences around the world.”

The Gambler is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews.

TOM BRADYT AND THE TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Future NFL Hall of Famer Tom Brady, 42, signed a two-year contract worthy of up to $59 million with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2020 season on March 20th.  After spending his first 20 years with the New England Patriots and earning six Superbowl rings, Brady comes to the Bucs “excited, humbled, and hungry,” per his official announcement of the deal on Instagram.

Brady has made nine Superbowl appearances, but joins the Bucs, who currently have the second-longest active playoff drought and only one Superbowl win.  The Buccaneers are looking forward an added spark of the leadership as well as the postseason experience Brady can bring to the team. Following the signing, Bucs second year head coach Bruce Arians said, “Tom is the most successful quarterback in the history, but what makes special is his ability to make those around him better.”

Tampa fans have high hopes going into the 2020 season while Boston fans mourn the loss of their football star.  Codey Winters, a Buccaneers fan commented on the Twitter announcement, saying “This is the start of something special.”  Jeff Fuller, a Patriots fan, commented, saying, “From Pats fan to Bucs fan, you guys are getting the hardest working and greatest QB ever.”

FIRST LAUNCH OF THE UNITED STATES SPACE FORCE

President Trump signed legislation creating the US Space Force December 20th, 2019, thus creating the sixth branch of US armed forces.  The Space Force is the first addition to the Armed Forces since 1947, when President Truman created the Air Force.  The Space Force will maintain US dominance in space by collecting information and relaying communications around the world.

On March 26th, the first national security mission of the USSF launched the Advanced Extremely High Frequency satellite (AEHF) from Port Canaveral.  A representative for Lockheed Martin, the contractor for the AEHF satellite, released a statement saying, “The Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) system provides vastly improved global, survivable, protected communications capabilities for strategic command and tactical warfighters operating on ground, sea and air platforms. The jam-resistant system also serves international partners including Canada, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.”

After a short delay Thursday afternoon due to a misreading of the hydraulic equipment, the rocket was launched with the satellite from the east coast of Florida.  The information that will be communicated from the satellite should last beyond 2030, according to Lieutenant General John F Thompson, Commander of the Space and Missiles Systems Centre in California.

DISNEY WELCOMES ZEBRA FILLY AND PORCUPETTE

Although Disney has closed its doors to humans in the wake of the Coronavirus, they are still welcoming new animal guests to their parks.  Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently welcomed a female young porcupine and zebra foal to the park, making the announcement on their Instagram page.

The baby porcupine, or porcupette, was born on February 25th to mother Peri.  Peri was featured during her pregnancy with vet Natalie Mylniczenko on the “One Day at Disney” documentary on Disney+.  The prehensile tail porcupette will become part of the Species Survival Plan, a plan to preserve threatened or endangered species.  The Disney veterinary team tested her small, red quills to determine her gender. Peri and her mother are staying at Animal Kingdom’s Conservation Station.

Just after the birth of the young porcupine, Disney’s zebra mother, Heidi, welcomed her first offspring.  The zebra foal is yet to be named, but, according to reports, is strong and healthy. The 65-pound filly was standing within a half hour of being born.  Mark Penning, the Vice President of Animals, Science, and Environment at Disney’s parks, said the foal will take the next few weeks to bond with her mother.  The baby will have the chance to memorize her mother’s scent and unique markings before being introduced to the Kilimanjaro Safari’s Savannah.

Disney expands Disney World Parks

The global phenomenon,

Courtesy of Disney Parks

The global phenomenon, “Star Wars” is one of several beloved Disney films recieving an attraction.

Walt Disney world has been making dreams come true since 1971, and continues to do that to this day. This beloved theme park is constantly expanding their horizons, and trying to outdo itself by creating new attractions to their park.

One of the most recent attractions that has been added to Walt Disney World has been the addition of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios. Galaxy’s Edge is based on the Star Wars films, and has much to offer its travelers that visit the land.

There are two new rides within this land: one is called Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and the other is called Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

On Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, guests get to participate in the storyline of the ride, almost like they are actually in the movie. Visitors have the choices of being an engineer, gunner, or pilot in this ride, and each role has a certain job that interacts with the ride.

On Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, there is more to the attraction than just the ride itself. Gusts get to experience the attraction in the line with cast members participating in a storyline to make visitors feel as if they are apart of the Star Wars saga.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge not only has thrilling rides, but also some mind blowing experiences. Galaxy’s Edge has workshops where guests are able to create their own custom light saber and can build a specially made droid. Guests can also visit Oga’s Cantina to have a little taste of what it is like to be apart of Star Wars. With all of the experience Galaxy’s Edge has to offer, no one will ever want to leave. When guests visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, they are in their own Star Wars story.

Galaxy’s Edge is not the only thing that Walt Disney World has up their sleeve. On March 4, 2020, the newest ride at Walt Disney World opened and people are lining up for this anticipated attraction. The latest attraction is called Mickey and Minnie‘s Runaway Railway, and like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the ride is also located in Hollywood Studios.

This attraction is the first ride to be based off of Disney’s main characters; it will feature The Fab Five: Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Minnie Mouse, and, of course the man himself, Mickey Mouse. In this ride, guests will be able to go on an adventure with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse filled with twists and turns around every corner.

Mickey and Minnie‘s Runaway Railway replace The Great Movie Ride in Hollywood Studios’ Chinese Theater, which is bittersweet because while Disney lost such an iconic attraction they have created this brand new ride that will live up to the guests’ expectations.

These are not the only things that Disney is doing to expand their theme park. In Disney’s Epcot, there is a whole lot more to expect in the upcoming years. Currently, Epcot is building their latest attraction, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, in their World Showcase.

The ride will open the summer of 2020, and will be located in the France area of the World Showcase. Epcot is expanding far and wide to include a full lineup of new attractions, including, but not limited to, a Mary Poppins attraction, a Moana experience, a Guardians of the Galaxy ride, and so much more.

Victoria’s Secret Undergoes Major Changes

As the CEO of Tory Burch, Mehas seemed like an obvious chioce to be the new CEO of Victoria's Secret.

Business Insider

As the CEO of Tory Burch, Mehas seemed like an obvious chioce to be the new CEO of Victoria’s Secret.

One of the most popular women’s clothing stores has been undergoing some company changes including the step down of the current CEO, Jan Singer. Victoria’s Secret has been highly known in women’s lingerie and beauty products for many years.

The “Angels” of the company promote the styles by holding an annual televised fashion show. However, after more than two decades of the annual show the angel era has come to an end. The show has went the opposite direction of want customers wanted when becoming ever sexier but with low quality.

Recently the company has been struggling in sales due to competition and style interest changing. They have lost over 3.8 million customers to rivals like Amazon and American Eagle’s Aerie, hurting their business tremendously. Other big retailers including Target and Walmart along with new online startups like Adore me have also affected the decrease in sales.

These other companies have given customers a variety of more sizes for an everyday fit that branch out to more women, they also make it more affordable while still providing the comfort. With that, the company will gain the new CEO, John Mehas, who plans to make major changes in order to keep up with rising competition.

One huge change is the closing of 53 of the company’s stores, still leaving more than 950 stores in the United States. Big changes in advertisement have been rethought, to relate to the “everyday women” that are represented by other companies in order to draw them back into shopping at Victoria’s Secret.

By having the Angels represent the entire Victoria’s Secret brand, the company created a limited view of the typical customer. Many women feel uncomfortable buying from a company that doesn’t include a wider variety of sizes that represent the brand. Model figures in their advertisements create insecurities due to many customers not fitting the guidelines as to what an “acceptable”size/body type is, shown in their advertisements and social aspects of branding.

Mehas who is also currently the president of Tory Burch has a plan to move forward with the company with his strong background in managing business. He clarifies that “Our number one priority is improving performance at Victoria’s Secret Lingerie and PINK. In doing so, our new leaders are coming in with a fresh perspective and looking at everything… our marketing, brand positioning, internal talent, real estate portfolio and cost structure.”

Wanting to bring the company into a new phase that fits women demands Mehas has taken many suggestions for the brand into thought.

In 2016 Victoria Secret had discontinued their swim line to focus on other clothing lines, however, in 2019 the much-loved swim brand has made a come back introducing new bikinis and one pieces. Many of the lines have change slightly to hopefully increase the sales and increase the number of customers to where it once was.

Fast Food Chains’ New Doughnut Creations

These are the two new Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Each a part of Krispy Kreme’s partnership with Butterfinger.

One of America’s most beloved treats is the donut. These mouth-watering pastries have been around since the late 1700s. In fact, they used to be called “Olykoek,” which means “oily cake,” and they did not even have a hole in the middle when they first came out.

In the early 1800s, a man named Hanson Gregory decided to cut a hole in the middle of this pastry to make it more accessible to consume, and now no one can imagine these classic treats without the hole in the center. These treats have been and continue to be wildly popular and relevant in today’s society. With the treat’s popularity, donut companies are constantly trying to create new flavors for the beloved pastry.

Krispy Kreme is one of the most iconic donut companies in the United States. This company is widely known for having fresh donuts at their stores along with many other donut flavors; recently Krispy Kreme has announced that a new flavor will be added to their menu. Krispy Kreme has combined the popular candy bar, Butterfinger, with their own pastries to create two separate donuts inspired by the candy.

The first donut is a standard glazed donut with a hole in the middle topped by the Butterfinger ingredients, stuffed with peanut butter inside of the treat. The second donut is a fudge cake donut, with no hole in the middle, and also has the Butterfinger flavors, peanuts and chocolate, topped onto the pastry.

As of February 20, these appetizing donuts are available for a limited time at participating locations. However, this collaboration with Butterfinger is not the only thing that Krispy Kreme has up their sleeve.

In January, Krispy Kreme launched their mini donuts, to celebrate the New Year. Not just any mini-donuts, but 90-calorie mini donuts. Krispy Kreme states that, “The intention is to help dieters stay on track with their New Year’s resolutions without feeling guilty about treating themselves.”

Donuts are being included in everything from diets to candy bars. Even fast food chains are hopping onto the popular donut trend.

Kentucky Fried Chicken is known for their chicken, it is their namesake after all. Recently Kentucky Fried Chicken has revealed their new limited time item, Chicken and Donuts. A customer can have their choice of if they want the combination in a basket or in the form of a sandwich.

The basket comes with one or two donuts and boneless or bone-in chicken. The sandwich is boneless chicken between two glazed donuts. This sweet and savory mixture will be available at all Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant chains nationwide through March 16. The chief marketing officer of Kentucky Fried Chicken, Andrea Zahumensky, stated, “It’s a finger lickin’ good dish filled with glaze and glory.”

This year, National Donut Day is on Friday, June 5, and even though it seems far away it will come fast. On National Donut Day, Krispy Kreme gives away one free donut per customer at participating stores, no charge. Until then, the public can enjoy Krispy Kreme’s Butterfinger donuts, mini donuts, and KFC’s Chicken and Donuts. “Donut” miss out on all of these delicious donuts!

Award Season Begins with the 62nd Grammy Awards

With 15 Grammys, Alicia Keys took the stage to host the Grammys for thee second time, her first time being in 2019.

With 15 Grammys, Alicia Keys took the stage to host the Grammys for thee second time, her first time being in 2019.

Musical artists came together on January 26, 2020 for the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, at the Staples Center, to celebrate their achievements in the music industry. There were many highlights of the award show, but the one that stood out at the Grammys was the musical tributes to the late basketball star, Kobe Bryant, who was killed in a helicopter accident along with his daughter earlier that day.

To kick off the show, pop singer, Lizzo, dedicated her performance and the show to Kobe Bryant. Not only did Lizzo recognize Kobe Bryant in her performance, but so did Alicia Keys.

The host of the 62nd Grammy Awards, Alicia Keys, sang along beside Boyz II Men to sing “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday,” to honor Kobe Bryant and his daughter. By doing this, the singers and the audience rooted the memory of Kobe Bryant into the awards ceremony that night. Even through this sad time, Alicia Keys was still able to set the stage for the show to start.

The night was filled with jaw dropping performances from many artists such as Camila Cabello, Aerosmith, and Arianna Grande. Beyond these performances, artist collaboration created some amazing performances at the Grammys. For example, Lil Nas X performed his hit single “Old Town Road” with Mason Ramsey, Billy Ray Cyrus, and the K-pop boy band group, BTS.

This seems like an odd collaboration on paper, but in reality, they are all outstanding together on stage. Even singers from extremely different genres performed together to make outstanding songs for the show. For example, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani collaborated together to sing their new single, “Nobody But You,” at the Grammys.

Many artists decided to sing their most successful hits that have already debuted, but several other performers chose to bring brand new songs to the table. Singers like Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers introduced a variety of new singles at the Grammys.

While the Grammys were chock-full of fantastic performances, it would not be the Grammys without the actual awards themselves. There were many categories at the Grammys such as Best Music Video, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Pop Solo Performance, and so many more.

With all of these categories, there are mainly four that are not specific to one single genre: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. This year all four of these categories had the same winner, Billie Eilish.

This successful singer is only 18 years old, and has already blown away her competition at her first Grammy Awards with winning all of these categories and more. Billie Eilish was not the only winner of the night though; there were lots of winners throughout the whole night including Lizzo, Dan + Shay, Willie Nelson, and so many more.

The 62nd annual Grammy Awards were jam packed with awards, celebrities, and most importantly music. With the success of this year’s Grammy Awards, there is no doubt that next year will be even better than ever.

Selena Gomez ends musical hiatus with new album

The album has 13 songs, each song averaging about three minutes.

The album has 13 songs, each song averaging about three minutes.

On January 10, 2020, singer Selena Gomez released her new album Rare. Back in 2015, with her album Revival she expressed that she would take better care of herself and she has come back stronger and putting her words into action with her new album.

Gomez took some years on silent as she was going through a rough time, but has found a new version of herself in which she has more self love and expresses this energy in her new songs. Gomez released her saddest energy before dropping the full album.

On October 23, 2019, Gomez released her lead single, “Lose You to Love Me”, that expresses her emotions with heartbreak and pain and getting through hard times as a way of cleansing herself from a relationship that didn’t work out. It deals with the singer’s journey to wellness and about learning to stand up for yourself to reach happiness. The song references , Sorry, by Justin Bieber and ended up becoming Gomez’s first number-one single in the United States. She earned her first Billboard Hot 100 chart topper and a spot on Vulture’s list of best songs of the year.

The last few years have not been eay for Gomez. The singer fought a battle with lupus which led to intensive therapy, kidney transplant surgery, and cruel internet speculations regarding her weight. Not to mention her high-profile breakups. She spent some time in rehab to work through her depression and anxiety.

In the album she wants to “Dance Again”, throwing a party for her new and happier self and being ready to let love back into her life. In some of her songs “Kinda Crazy” and “Fun” the artist is allowing herself to a little bit of danger and trouble into her life because she wants to feel strong enough to handle it and see everything with a positive mind. Her voice is assertive and soft and she delivers her lyrics with strong messages she trys to covey to her audience.

Rare celebrates Gomez peace and independence that she found in herself. “You don’t do the same for me, that’s not fair”. She talks about how she knows that she is special and doesn’t need anyone to treat her as if she is not rare. Although her songs celebrate the new version of herself, they don’t really go into depth about the war she went through to get to where she is now.

In an interview with Zane Lowe and Apple music Gomez talks about her struggles to speak up for herself and some of the setbacks she went through that prevented her to keep working. She explains that she was hurting and trying to take out the toxic in her life.

She says that when she released her single, Lose You to Love me, she felt like that was a special moment for her emotionally. Gomez says how the people she surrounded herself with challenged her and motivated her to speak up.

“I just needed to let my old self go. I was purging multiple different things but it was specifically who I was then I would like to say that this is a fresh start and I started with this album but I’m going to continue to just do better.”

The artist is continuing to heal and embracing the progress she is making.

Online shopping overtakes local malls

The online shopping phenomenon is the new dircetion of holiday shopping. This could lead to a decrease in comercial malls.

The online shopping phenomenon is the new dircetion of holiday shopping. This could lead to a decrease in comercial malls.

In an era of convenience, it’s not shocking that people prefer sitting on the couch eating lunch while they order their loved ones’ Christmas gifts. This is especially ture after a long Thanksgiving Day, for many it is easier to take advantage of Black Friday deals without waiting in lines, getting ran over by rabid shoppers, or even camping out fir the hottest items of the season. Simply click a button and your gifts are on their way to your house.

So when the news broke that online shopping overtook a major part of retail for the first time ever, unless people were living under a rock, no one was surprised. The main disadvantage of online shopping is waiting for items to be shipped. Amazon eliminated this issue when they introduced Amazon Prime, a service provided where if you pay a small yearly fee you get  quick shipping.

Malls have too many obstacles to climb for the short attention span of this new generation. There’s the ridiculous traffic to fight through, the insane walking patterns, the people and of course the infamously rude shop clerks, one of the few stereotypes in this world that holds up. Why deal with that when you can just click a button in between games of Call of Duty? There’s a reason Amazon has been so profitable, it really doesn’t give the malls a chance.

It’s the same reason why platforms like Netflix and Hulu profit so much and take customers away from cable and the movie theaters. It’s just, you guessed it, convenience. Why deal with the ridiculously priced popcorn or cable bills when you can pay a monthly fee and watch all the movies and shows you want. You can watch as much as your heart desires, making it easier to enjoy your favorite TV shows.

Even Black Friday, which ropes in shoppers from all around to get those ridiculous deals, online is beating out retail stores. What used to be a crazy day for stores like Walmart and Target have turned into massive amounts of clicks for websites like Amazon. Do not not be concerned, as retail stores like Walmart aren’t going out of business anytime soon. However, to say that online shopping can’t compete with those same stores would be a blatant lie.

Simply put, online shopping is the future for shoppers looking for the maximum amount of convenience. No lines, no people, no hassle. Just a click and your holiday shopping is done. This is just the beginning, sites like Amazon will only grow bigger and slowly but surely beat out stores such as Target. It’s all about convenience and Amazon has it.

The rap industry loses another artist

Juice+Wrld+gained+immense+popularity+from+his+single+%22Lucid+Dreams.%22

TMZ

Juice Wrld gained immense popularity from his single “Lucid Dreams.”

In the rap industry, it is difficult for upcoming rappers to gain fame. Nowadays, rappers are coming from small apps like SoundCloud or Spotify, expecting to become legends, although reaching legend status takes time, dedication, and effort. Many rappers now are writing more emotional lyrics to prove a point or be inspirational.

For example, XXXtencion is known by young adults and teens for being more relatable and emotional. Sadly, there is a more twisted side in being a rapper. Many rappers involve themselves in salacious activities, ranging from drugs to gang affiliation. Even though XXXtencion was young, fresh, and on the verge of becoming one of the best rappers of the time, he was shot because of being involved in salacious activities.

But more recently, Juice Wrld, a young rapper as well, who had just recently signed with the major record label Interscope Records, died on Dec. 8 after suffering cardiac arrest at a private hangar at Midway Airport.

Around 2 a.m., according to the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said, “Paramedics were called to hanger operated by Atlantic Aviation.”

Juice Wrld‘s real name is Jarad Higgins, passing away just six days after turning 21. Higgins died just after he arrived at Midway on a private jet. Higgins was immediately taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where they announced his death at 3:14 a.m.

It was determined that Higgins died after having a seizure. Many of his fans believed that he was faking his death. Not to long before his unexpected death, he posted on Instagram that his lifetime goal was to successfully fake his death. Juice Wrld’s younger audience believes that this was his doing to shine brighter and become famous, but he suffered a seizure and began bleeding from his mouth. The cause of his seizure is not yet known. The medical experts who examined the body, did find traces of drugs but more tests are required to confirm.

When Higgins was still in school, he left a huge mark in the schools he attended. The teachers and staffs always knew him to be highly creative and talented in what he does best, make music. Higgins was a very caring person even before he was famous, he would make sure someone was okay if he noticed something was wrong with them. His former teachers, staff, and classmates always thought he was a generous and hardworking; they are very devasted that Higgins is gone now, and he will be remembered by many people who looked up to him.

Universal Hollywood updates the Jurassic Park section of the park

The+Jurassic+World+World+ride+replaced+the+old+Jurassic+Park+that+had+been+in+place+since+1997.

The Jurassic World World ride replaced the old Jurassic Park that had been in place since 1997.

At Universal Studios Hollywood a new, fun, interactive ride was built for the enjoyment of welcoming visitors, Jurassic World the Ride. This ride includes many aspects that make it unique, such as a Raptor encounter where visitors can meet Blue the Raptor and other friendly new dinosaurs.

Another new feature to Universal Studios Hollywood is a display, which is an interactive play area for younger guests. If parents need a break from their kids, this would be the spot to send them. Another new addition is the new shop Isla Nu-Bar. If guests are thirsty from a long walk to the ride, they can stop by Isla Nu-Bar and get a refreshing tropical drink, they offer a large selection to please picky customers. To add, if guests’ appetites grow and want something to eat, well they can stop by the Jurassic Café and get a delicious meal for lunch and feast like a T-rex.

According to the official Universal Studios Hollywood website, the minimum height is 42 inches or 107cm, passengers 42 inches to 48 inches are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For more information, the Universal website can provide more details.

To start off, the boat consists of four rows, each seating five people. The ride is like a flume ride therefore it floats on water with safety pads to prevent damages to passengers. The ride starts by going over a bump that may shake passengers up. Afterwards, the boat heads into a viewing of the mosasaurs tank with a speaker that will explain the mosasaurs background and their appetite, it is likely that guests will get wet on the ride.

Next guests head through a tunnel to herbivores section and get to see them in action feeding. Then the boat will enter the predator code section, and lucky enough, guests will get to enter the T-rex kingdom and guests get to see the king. After that, guests will travel through a tunnel seeing their favorite Raptors and the T-rex and the new Indominus Rex all in full conflict with each other fighting. Then guests head down a drop having water splashed all over guests, ending the ride. If guests enjoyed the ride, afterwards they can stop by the little store to grab a collectable or shirt or even jewelry

In this day and age, the public can watch whatever they want, whenever they want.  With media service providers such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video almost any movie or television show is available to people with just the press of a button. Now there is new competition for these companies arising within the industry, it’s called Disney+. Disney has created its own media streaming service that will be released on November 12, 2019, and it will include movies and television shows from Disney, Pixar, National Geographic, Star Wars, and Marvel Studios.

With all of these shows and movies being on Disney+, companies like Hulu and Netflix are going to have to compete with even more competition. Disney is also taking some programs from different film industries, more specifically 21st Century Fox’s programs, such as The Simpsons and The Sound of Music. So it is not just Disney projects, but Disney is also taking from other companies as well.

In addition to posting old shows and movies, Disney+ will also make brand new television shows and films that are coming out with Disney+. Like Netflix and their own original shows and movies like Stranger Things, Disney has made a whole line up of brand new original shows and movies that can only be seen through Disney+. There will be new live-action movies, spin-offs, original films, and so much more. With all of these new projects going onto Disney+, there will also be many old shows and movies going on as well. These old films will be anything from The Parent Trap, to Hannah Montana. Disney+ will have all old, current, and new programs available to their customers.

Disney+ is going to make it harder for the other straming services to match the content available on their website. Many viewers are being drawn from the old services to Disney+.  With this new competition, a lot of things are about to change.
